50 Reasons to Eat & Grow Local Food

Reason #30:

Growing our own food gets us in touch with the land, the water and air. We learn weather patterns and realize how they are changing (eg. according to author Kristeva Dowling, early planting dates have crept forward by at least 3 weeks in just the past 20 years!); we come to better appreciate our land and its ancestral inhabitants.
