Breakfast on the 50-Mile Diet

I know a few things about local-food activist David Parkinson. I know that he’s a tireless champion for local food production; I know that when he’s excited about something he kind of waves his hands while he talks; and I know that he loves oats – because he waved his hands around when he told me that he eats oatmeal everyday for breakfast. So when I was thinking about my own breakfast on the eve of the 50-Mile Eat Local Challenge, and wondering what I was going to eat, David came to mind.
