Sowing for our supper – Nola Poirier

Autumnal setting...looking for edible 'shrooms.


My neighbours, my magnificent neighbours on either side, delivered buckets of fresh-picked wild chanterelle mushrooms to my gate last weekend. Besides scoffing them by the bowlful, I tossed a handful into every supper–soups, stir-fries, mushroom sauces. What a fantastic food. And what a generous gesture on the part of my neighbours.
